Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress from Manama, Bahrain and was raised in a multi-ethnic family. Jacqueline's parents are Malaysian as well as from Sri Lanka. She entered television after winning an award for the Miss Sri Lanka title. The show she hosts, Lanka Business Report, covers Sri Lankan business. Padukone was the daughter of badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Bangalore. As a teenager, Padukone competed in badminton championships at national level. However, she left the sport in order to become designer. Padukone is of Mangalorean background and her native language is Konkani. Padukone Village is located within Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District of Karnataka in India. Prakash Padukone has retired as a world-renowned athlete in badminton and her mother is also a travel consultant.
